Vigilant sponge counting during procedures and thorough exploration prior to closure of the abdomen, are essential practices to avoid such occurrences.Herein we present a case of gossypiboma in a Sprinkle Stencil 26-year old woman that was in the lumen of small bowel and caused acute intestinal obstruction.Keywords: Gossypiboma, bowel obstruction, transmural migration, surgical swab, cesarean section.
